About the “Kyle in Hollywood” series: Dry humour and a good dose of romance. He’s tall, he’s handsome and he doesn’t fit any mould. REVIEW

A well-written and entertaining read.

Scot Free in Hollywood (Kyle in Hollywood Book 2) had every element a good story should have. A solid plot, attention to detail, but best of all fleshed out, well-written and well-rounded character development. There’s an abundance of well-illustrated scenes that make you feel like you are right there in the story, and that’s something I really look for in a good book. The story flowed from scene to scene with ease, and the author shows exceptional ability when it comes to storytelling.

The book description gives a sneak preview: ‘Three years after a shrewd director’s eye plucked him from obscurity, Kyle’s movie career has taken him from rebellious unknown to reluctant movie sensation. Along the way he has acquired a well-documented reputation as an irresistible ladies’ man. But his unblemished womanizer record is in danger when he is cast to co-star with rising European actress Barbara Bertucci. Their titanic clashes are the talk of the town until they unexpectedly go off together on a romantic holiday in Moorea. Is their romance real, or just the usual promotional photo op?’

The firsthand knowledge of the subject matter by the author, combined with his Scottish dry wit, makes this a great pick when you want a light quick-paced yarn for some escapism reading.

Recommended as a light, fun and entertaining read.
